The Individual Initiative for Human Rights has launched the “Together We Can” project with the support of MEPI and IREX Small Grants, through a grant fund that allows alumni to support their communities during crises through their associations. The first phase of the project was implemented in Beirut for two days, in which 24 young men and women from university students and graduates, aged between 18 and 25 years, were targeted.
The training day has consisted of sessions aimed at providing psychosocial support for young men and women during the crises we are experiencing in Lebanon by giving them some techniques to solve and manage crises with oneself, control fear and anxiety, confront negative challenges positively, and some skills and instructions to deal with the current situation with all its difficulties and psychological pressures, in addition to a yoga and meditation session. In the presence of the project coordinator Mariam El Zahabi, with the international trainer Rania Shehadeh, with the yoga instructor Zahra Shahrour, and the association’s work team, in addition to the participants.
